Coach Cotten Featured in Clarion-Ledger

Patriots 34 - Callaway 19

The Forest Hill Patriots moved to 3-0 for the 2011 season with a big win over cross-town rival Callaway at Hughes Field. Up 12-0 at the half, FHS scored after a Callaway turnover to start the third quarter 20-0. Next up for the Patriots is Jim Hill. For video highlights from the game, visit Fox40.

Forest Hill 40 - Wingfield 0

The Battle of Raymond Road, one of the first and longest standing rivalries in JPS football, once again netted a Patriot win. The atmosphere was festive under the lights, with the band and drill team matching the excitement on the field. The Patriot offense was prolific in the first half, scoring 3 touchdowns and outrushing the Falcons by a 2 to 1 margin. The defensive line held Wingfield scoreless in several 1st and goal situations. The Patriots are now 2-0 and face Callaway on Sept. 2nd at Hughes Field.

Forest Hill 10 - Provine 9

Forest Hill opened the 2011-2012 season with a victory over the Provine Rams in front of a capacity crowd at the Forest Hill Field. Trailing 7-3 at the half, the Patriots' #4 Travontae Willis connected with #12 Shaquan Holmes in the 3rd for the go-ahead touchdown. The Patriot defense was able to hold the Rams despite a late game rally for a final score of 10 to 9. Forest Hill faces Wingfield at home this Friday in another JPS gridiron battle -- the Battle of Raymond Road!
